Thames and London Town walk

I love this Thames and Town walk route as I lived near Whitechapel for sometime. I do enjoy some sun shine while I walk. But we all know how nice the London weather is !!!   Let us start around Tower Bridge or St. Katherine Docks, Marina Walk thru St. Katierine way and circle around Hermitage Basin to enter Wapping High Street and walk along till you hit the Prospect of Whitby Pub (oldest river side Tavern / Pub).  Walk along Wapping Road, Glamis Road and wonder why Shadwell Basin is still there (just for fun) and take the small right to Thames Path via King Edward Memorial Park. You will get the Thames view soon and walk along till you hit the Jardin's Road. Cross the "T" shaped and walk towards Narrow Street. Do enjoy the view from Breadstreet Kitchen & Bar /Limehouse. You can try a bit of de-tour via Horseferry Road to view Limehouse Basin and come back to Breadstreet also.  Once you are near the Dundee wharf, you will enjoy the view of skycrapers and walk along to

Explore Katong and Joo Chiat

Singapore has got some nice neighbourhoods to explore shop, walk, observe peranakan artefacts, couture from various regions & food (as always) etc.   Joo Chiat Road is one long road and has got lot of small lanes. Hence, the right starting point for your walk is Hotel 81 Sakura at Joo Chiat Road and walk toward i12 Katong mall.  Best way is to walk along and explore some shops based on your interest.  There are some interesting fashion shops such as EmGallery, Vintage Tale, Persian Boutique, Anglia, THWAB Store, r y e, Brisa, The AC etc.  Plenty of cafes as well such as Little Farms, Two Men Bagel, Petit Pain etc. There are some pubs as well - but I have not visited any recently. Gun Pub, Cider Pit etc Koon Seng Road has got some colourful shop houses and do not miss to notice the bright Peranakan tiles as well. There are some murals as well on large walls.  Food is wonderful to miss at Katong: 328 Katong Laksa is very famous and there is a nice 19th century, chola style Indian Tem

Effective Roaming of Singapore in 8 hours for Transit tourists

I would like to suggest an ideal itinerary to carry out effective roaming in Singapore within 8 hours of transit time !!! Keen to explore, Here I go: Ideal Breakfast:  Little India : South India food like Dosa or Idly Or Puri at Komalas Restaurant or Madura Vilas Restaurant (near Little India MRT).  I like Pongal from the oldest restaurant called Komalas at Serangoon Road.  MTR restaurant is near Farrer Park MRT and it is Karnataka food and they serve excellent Masala Dosa and Uddin Vada as well.  Do get a glimpse of Srinivasa Perumal temple around MTR (dress code is needed);  Former house of Tan Teng Niah is bright and colourful as well and it is a great spot of Selfie (near Little India MRT). Allotted time is 1 hour if you go little India. Pls take a cab from Little India to Raffles Place.   Or simple Croissant & Coffee around Raffles place in any regular coffee shops like Starbucks or Tanah Merah or 6oz or Providore.  Time taken can be around 30 min.  Exploration sta
