Is Singapore a concrete jungle or is it an Oxymoron?
Singapore is an island, small town (in terms of 284 Sq Miles), with a population of around 6 million has got 10 different express ways (AYE, PIE, BKE, ECP, KPE, MCE etc), 1 million plus HDB or public housing, apartments, 350k + condominiums etc. You can see plenty of high rise or skycrapers at every side of the island. Hence, it is also known as concrete jungle. But the real beauty of Singapapore lifestyle is the addiction to trees, gardens and the every growing eco awareness. In 1967, then, Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew (LKY) wanted to build SG as a Garden City. And in 2024, SG is really a garden city. Why?
